Chloe is a projects, strategic relationships and knowledge exchange manager at the University of Plymouth, with 15 years’ experience in the HE sector. Her role focuses on project delivery, research impact, stakeholder engagement and relationship management to improve global maritime cyber resilience and promote secure economic growth activities. The University of Plymouth is home to the Cyber-SHIP Lab, a world-first, hardware-based maritime cyber security research and development platform, bringing together connected ships’ operational systems, configurable in vessel-specific layouts, as required for in-depth cyber vulnerability testing. The Lab can effectively become a physical twin of any ship’s operational systems in terms of both IT and associated Operational Technology (OT). The scope of research spans vessels, port operations, ship/port interactions, autonomous and remote-controlled platforms, enabling the development of secure-by-design maritime systems across the whole supply chain.
